The Professional Moisture meter for Wood is a small handheld digital pin type moisture meter made by world famous Tramex. Tramex only specializes in Construction Industry Moisture meters! Tramex is the World’s Largest Moisture Meter manufacturer for the construction industry. The Professional Moisture Meter is the top of the line Wood Moisture Meter from Tramex. It is an upgrade from the older analog Tramex Compact unit.

The Tramex Professional Moisture Meter measures wood species between 7- 40% with temperature charts from 40° to 158°F and also incorporates a large chart of wood species for specific gravity correction. Note that wood becomes saturated at 27% moisture. The Tramex Professional Moisture Meter is powered by a 9V battery within a lightweight sturdy aluminum body. For hard to reach areas (home inspectors), the professional moisture meter has a HOLD button to lock the reading.

Simple Operation:

Measure Moisture:

-Simply choose a dry area, press the ON button and just press the two pins at the front of the moisture meter into any wood. Instantaneously, the moisture is displayed in % moisture on the large LCD

Want to measure wood that is wet on the surface:

-Use insulated 2” pins with a hammer probe or use a hand probe with insulated pins. Place probe pins on wood, slide metal weight to top position and quickly drop the weight pressing into the wood. The pins will be driven in like a pile driver.  View the reading in % moisture.

Want to measure within a cavity:

-Use 8” or 3.5” Insulated pins with the Hand Probe, press the ON button, press the hand probe until it goes into the cavity and penetrates wood and read the LCD Display.

Want to use the Professional Moisture Meter on different species:

-Use as normal and then go to the instruction manual on Pages 6 to 17.

Want use on wood that is either hot or cold:

- Use as normal and then go to the instruction manual on Page 5.
